It is expected to save more than 30% of China's kitchen and bathroom water consumption.

The National Standard for Water-saving Sanitary Ware (GB/T 31436-2015) is a new national standard that provides a technical basis for saving water resources for residential use and reducing residential domestic sewage discharge. Toilets, for example, the new national standard will be water-saving toilets into water-saving and high-efficiency water-saving type two categories, the provisions: water-saving toilets should not be greater than 5.0 litres; high-efficiency water-saving toilets single file or double file of the large file water consumption is not greater than 4.0 litres. National Building Sanitary Ceramics Standardization Technical Committee Secretary-General Wang Bo introduced, this standard has been significantly higher than the level of developed countries.

Wang Bo: the United States is still to 6.0, 4.8 such standards prevail, our toilet standard is 5.0, 4.0, the entire increase of more than 10%.

The new national standard will be officially implemented on December 1 this year. Wang Bo introduced, after the upgrade of standards, sanitary ware manufacturers need to make improvements in design, research and development and other aspects.

Wang Bo: toilet is actually a very complex product, especially in the waterway design, it should produce enough siphon, but also to ensure that it can flush past, can flush clean, now if the water is small, but also to ensure the effect of words, the design of a higher demand.

Data shows that in China, sanitary ware accounts for about 80% of household or domestic water use. The implementation of the National Standard for Water Efficient Sanitary Ware is expected to save more than 30% of the water used in kitchens and sanitary ware.

Wang Bo: I have made a simple calculation, a family by 3 people, use the toilet 12 times a day, save 1 litre of water a time, a day is 12 litres of water. Based on a conservative 300 million households, we can save 1.3 billion tonnes of water a year.
